Grama Panchayat

President

The President is the chief administrative head of the Panchayat. Leads development activities and administrative functions.

Vice President

Assists in administrative functions. Performs administrative duties in the absence of the President.

Standing Committees

Committees that manage development, finance, health and educational activities of the Panchayat.

Development Standing Committee

Implements Panchayat development projects. Focuses on public welfare and infrastructure development.

Finance Standing Committee

Committee responsible for controlling the income and expenditure of the Panchayat.

Health & Education Standing Committee

Committee that manages health and educational activities.

Welfare Standing Committee

Implements public welfare schemes. Focuses on social security and welfare activities.

 

Other Sub Committees

Committees formed for special sector activities. Support various Panchayat projects.

Panchayat Secretary

Assistant Secretary

Assists in administrative and office functions of the Panchayat.
Functions as Kudumbashree Member Secretary and coordinator of welfare schemes.
Also handles Scheduled Caste development project implementation duties.

Junior Superintendent

Supervises the daily office activities of the Panchayat.
Coordinates file procedures and office sections.
Provides supervision and control over staff activities.

Accountant

Controls financial transactions and accounts of the Panchayat.
Prepares and maintains income and expenditure statements.
Organizes budget, tax and financial records.

Clerk

Handles files and records of the Panchayat.
Manages tax collection, applications and office registers.
Performs ward-level duties and public service activities.

Senior Clerk

Supervises office records and administrative procedures.
Coordinates activities of different office sections.
Monitors important files and office processes.

Office Attendant

Assists in the daily office functions of the Panchayat.
Handles document transfer and office arrangements.
Supports general office assistance activities.

Brief Description of Main Components

1. Grama Sabha

Grama Sabha is the general assembly of the people in the Panchayat. It discusses development projects, public needs and welfare activities.

2. Grama Panchayat Committee

The Grama Panchayat Committee is the governing body consisting of elected representatives. It controls development and administrative matters of the Panchayat.

3. President & Vice President

The President and Vice President are the key administrative leaders of the Panchayat. They provide leadership in governance and administration.

4. Standing Committees

Special committees functioning in development, finance, health, education and welfare sectors.

5. Panchayat Secretary

The Secretary is the chief administrative officer of the Panchayat. Coordinates office functions, file procedures and administrative implementation.
