Annual Plan 2025-26
The Panchayat Annual Plan is the blueprint for a Panchayat's development over the coming year. As a comprehensive document for Local Self-Government Institutions (LSGIs) in Kerala, it details the development and welfare schemes to be implemented using available funds (Own Funds and Grant Allocations) in a financial year. The plan's key feature is its emphasis on People's Participation through Bottom-up Planning, gathering suggestions and needs from Grama Sabhas and Ward Sabhas. Priorities are set for sectors like health, education, agriculture, and infrastructure, while reserving specific funds for the welfare of Scheduled Castes/Tribes and for women's development (Gender Component Plan). Proposals received from the Grama Sabhas are discussed in Development Seminars and the Governing Body, and the plan gains legal validity only after approval by the District Planning Committee (DPC), following which it is implemented. A progress report is then prepared at the end of the financial year.
